BalletBallet is an important foundation for any type of dance and Modern Irish Step Dance is no exception. All of our dancers learn basic Ballet exercises to help point toes, turn out, releve and to extend our legs correctly and safely. We learn about the lines our bodies create to ensure our dancing is aesthetically pleasing to
the eye. |
PilatesModern Irish Step Dance requires our body to be flexible, strong, and graceful. Pilates helps us to develop our muscle strength so that we may move with ease across the floor. We train all parts of our body and learn how the different muscle groups work together to maximize safety and achieve the desired results.

PliometricsOur dance style has been cross-compared to hockey players, sprint racers, and other competitive athletes. The dancing is incredibly athletic and explosive, putting a great demand on our bodies. Pliometrics helps train our muscles to meet these demands and become percussive instruments to the music we dance to.

Mental HealthWe believe in creating a healthy, positive space where dancers can feel safe to be themselves. Balance between home, studio, and school are important. Mistakes are supported and become learning opportunities. Laughter is encouraged and helps learning become more enjoyable. Successes, both big and small, are celebrated as progress is tracked. Healthy minds produce healthy bodies.
